Karly Gadell is a military spouse of 17 years and mom of three who has spent nearly two decades building community wherever the Army sends her. She’s passionate about supporting military families and has led Spouses’ Clubs at three different installations, launched sports programs for military-connected kids, and helped strengthen the bond between military and civilian communities.
In 2023, Karly was named the Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year for Fort Irwin—a recognition that speaks to her dedication and heart for service. She’s especially passionate about helping military spouses turn volunteer work into leadership experience that can open doors in their careers and beyond.
For Karly, every new duty station is a chance to create connection, make a difference, and lift others up along the way.
Plus One Heroes has been a long-time dream of Karly’s. After seeing specific gaps in support for military families over and over again, she felt called to step in and help fill that void—with heart, purpose, and action.
